Gluten-Free Pear Pie

This gluten-free pear pie is a delicious dessert option for those with gluten sensitivities. Sweet, juicy pears are combined with warm spices and baked in a flaky gluten-free crust.

Ingredients:

  • 6 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 gluten-free pie crust store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375F 190C

In a large bowl, combine sliced pears, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg

Toss until the pears are evenly coated

Pour the pear mixture into the gluten-free pie crust, spreading it out evenly

Dot the top of the pear mixture with pieces of butter

Cover the pie with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly

Allow the pie to cool slightly before serving
