Shrunken Apple Heads

Ingredients:
- 6 large apples
- 1 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- Toothpicks for securing facial features
Instructions:
Preheat your barbecue to medium heat
Peel and core the apples, leaving the bottoms intact to create a flat base
In a bowl, mix lemon juice, salt, and water
Soak the apples in this mixture for 5 minutes to prevent browning
Combine ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and brown sugar in a separate bowl
Remove apples from the lemon mixture and pat them dry with paper towels
Coat each apple with the spice and sugar mixture, ensuring even coverage
Using toothpicks, attach facial features to each apple, creating spooky faces
